Request Birth Doula SupportWhy a Birth Doula
Research consistently shows that continuous doula support during labor and delivery leads to significantly better birth outcomes. At UDAP, we believe every Utah family deserves these benefits β not just those who can afford private support. That's why we accept Medicaid, offer sliding-scale fees, and provide Birth Equity Fund grants to ensure access for all.
Doula-supported births show lower rates of cesarean delivery, use of forceps, and epidural requests, according to Cochrane Review data.
Unlike hospital staff who rotate shifts, your UDAP doula is with you from active labor through delivery β uninterrupted, unwavering presence.
Positioning support, massage, breathing guidance, hydrotherapy techniques, and comfort measures tailored to your body and preferences.
We help you understand your options, ask informed questions, and ensure your birth plan is communicated clearly to your care team.
We coach and guide your birth partner so they feel confident and connected β making birth a shared, empowering experience.
Our doulas are trained to support families with complex histories β including trauma, substance use recovery, and social complexity.
